Opening Date of the Taubman Museum of Art Getting Closer
About a week ago a reader (who currently lives out of town) emailed and asked me to post an update with some recent pictures of the new Taubman Museum of Art, which is scheduled to open in just a little over a month.
And finally by late this weekend the rain had stopped and the weather cleared up enough for me to head downtown and snap a few photos.
(If there is something in Roanoke you’d like to read about or see pictures of just drop me an email and I’ll work at putting it on this site.)

Thanks for sharing great pictures of the museum with your readers! It is exciting for us to see the community interest and support.
I hope you’ll join us on November 8 for the grand opening, and, crowd size permitting, introduce yourself!

Phil, thanks for the comment. The museum itself has really grown on me since construction began. I don’t see how anyone could look at it as anything other than positive for our area. If you have a small banner/logo graphic for the new museum feel free to email me and I will gladly add it to the sidebar on this site.
I’ll probably be in the crowd somewhere on November 8th!

Thanks so much for the great pictures of the museum and taking the time to put this info on your site. I can’t wait to return to Roanoke so I can set foot in this wonderful new addition to the downtown cityscape.
